Greatness

Being out of words is how I would define myself right now, after learning the story of a legendary Dog who awaited the return of his resting-in-peace master for TEN years everyday.
I'm sure many of you are already acquainted with the context I am referring to: Hachikō, a Japanese Akita Dog who set the highest limit of loyalty and love in our world. He was not just a Dog as he raised himself to the level of a sensible, strong, hopeful, lively and a caring HUMAN, or perhaps I would not hesitate in calling him greater than a human himself. He is the best example of fidelity and honesty to us. He inspired many writers and novelists to write about him, well-known artists to make a movie narrating his prestigous devotion. He inspired The Japanese to publish a documented census of Akitas in Japan and the teachers and parents to use his vigil as an example for children to follow. A bronze statue in his likeness was erected at Shibuya Station and Hachikō himself was present at its unveiling. A well-known Japanese artist rendered a sculpture of the dog, and throughout the country a new awareness of the Akita breed grew. The exact spot where Hachikō waited in the train station is permanently marked with bronze paw-prints and text in Japanese explaining his loyalty. Each year on April 8, Hachikō's devotion is honored with a solemn ceremony of remembrance at Tokyo's Shibuya railroad station. Hundreds of dog lovers often turn out to honor his memory and loyalty.
I can't conclude this blog because such a thing has no ending. My words are too petty to describe as great as someone like him, let alone describing himself. All that I can say is that, this is not about people who love dogs and who don't (even though those who don't love dogs are sure to raise a salute to Hachi), but this is about people like me, like Hachikō and like everyone who knows about him and prays for his soul to rest in peace everyday. Amen.

We can’t surpass God

With the growth of technology, right from its beginning in the Stone Age to the present age, mankind has been able to reach the zenith of success. From the variety of stone stools introduced in the Stone Age to the Mars Exploration Rovers brought into limelight in the 21st century, technology has helped us attain a position next to God himself.
As it was argued by Mirandola, the great philosopher, that God created man in his own image and called him a miracle, the statement seems to hold true till date. For, be it a beast or an angel, both are destined to follow their respective paths distinctively, wherein a human can mould himself into a beast or an angel as he fancies. Collectively, Predestination is a term associated with Angels and Demons and Free will is what is associated with Man.
Call it a clever use of mind or taking inglorious advantage of His power, man has proved himself equal to God. Belike Him, man can attain any state with the power of his imagination, he can create in his mind a world which is twice as better as our real world created by God, he is immortal as he lives on, eternally, in the memories of others even after his physical death, his soul lives on and he is remembered forever. He can CHOOSE either to be as heavenly as Mother Teresa or to be as cruel as Osama Bin Laden, something in which other living beings don’t stand a choice. We are the greatest creation of God, for us He made the Earth and all other planets, plants, trees, animals, waters, sun moon and everything in this cosmology. We are His inheritors, we are His children, we worship Him, and we stand Him prior to ourselves, nevertheless, what we don’t realize is that our actions are just a matter of pretence.
There has to be a stop to our pretences, there has to be a stop to our cruelty and there has to be a major stop to our ruin!
Not only spiritually, we are damaging ourselves practically too. The most precious gift given to us by God is being put to an ingenious yet disastrous mode. Global Warming, a term that every human is aware about, is increasing considerably; brothers are killing each other for materialistic reasons, the most crucial part of our lives: the flora and fauna of our world are becoming extinct. We are planning our death with very subtlety.
With astrologers making predictions about our end which is not so far, we can’t use the same ingenious gift of God to save ourselves for we must not forget: His will is always done. All we can do is delay our end as far as possible.
Now is the time to not merely talk about but also to act about our pretences. How hard is that to understand?

A Mother's loss

It is 11pm in the night and Priya is anxiously waiting for her 16 year old daughter, Shelly, to return home. Considering the unfortunate fact that her husband, Jay, is out of town on a business venture, she decides not to bother him with calls and goes out looking for Shelly at her friends’ place. Gratefully, she finds her daughter sleeping comfortably in her friend’s room and decides to get her back home in the morning.
Soon after bringing her home the next day, Priya discovers the reason behind Shelly’s actions- her failure to get through the 10th grade examinations. She is, no doubt, furious at first; nevertheless, being a sensible and caring mother, she tries to comfort her daughter by starting up a conversation.
“What’d you like to have for breakfast?” asks Priya, to which Shelly rudely replies, “Nothing” and goes to her room, leaving Priya to herself and her thoughts.
Priya takes this as a time of trying out different approaches since she reckons that there is an uneven quality to adolescents’ behavior. Sometimes they get it just right and sometimes they don’t. She is aware of the fact that feelings of anger and resentment combined with exaggerated guilt can lead to impulsive, self-destructive acts. So it is not the exam failed that is leading to Shelly’s dramatic change in personality, rather it is months of pent up emotions which is triggered by any one incident. She is very well acquainted with her daughter’s inimitable quality of burying her emotions within herself till she reaches bursting point and commits irrational acts. She knows her to be a chirpy vivacious teenager who is the heart and soul of any gathering proving that the ones with a poor self-esteem aren't the introverts who hardly open their mouth.
She is now wary of Shelly’s abnormally quiet or even more-boisterous-than-usual behaviour and makes up her mind to wait for the right time to have a heart to heart conversation with her daughter, meanwhile indulging herself in other sundry household chores.
Time passes, sun sets and dusk approaches. Priya, an empathizing mother, walks towards her daughter’s room to comfort her and to tell her, “I understand that because I am a mother, I am capable of being shocked: as I never was when I was not one. I want you to know that you are still loved and treasured and even though you are upset with yourself, you are not a failure and just because you are losing doesn’t mean you will stop progressing, but you will work harder the next time and make yourself proud of yourself.”
Smiling, the unfortunate mother opens the door of her daughter’s room just to see her hanging from the ceiling fan…

Confused

And don't you just hate it when all your life you have lived in access to everything you NEEDED or wanted and all of a sudden you are expected to be a completely independent identity. How tough it is to decide, let alone pursue, your dream. How hard it is to struggle to that one goal you have decided for your life, and how worse it is if you are not even able to figure out that goal! What do you do when all your life you have been dependent on some or the other personalities holding a great place in your life? But not anymore, now is the time when you have to become that important personality to someone else's life letting them depend upon you, now is your time to take a step and leave its imprint as deep as possible so as to reach to the roots of success. I am sure most of the people face this situation with great courage and success but what happens to the confused ones? Should they just go with the flow and let life play its charms on them, or should they wait and keep on waiting until they see a sign? Maybe they should just keep knocking on every door they see and leave it to their luck, more of an uncertainity, if the door that would invite them in would be their first or their last. Once you get through this phase life is easy, but the very phase is frightening, full of anxiousness and pessimism. If u fail, they say bad things happen for a reason but can those wise words stop the bleeding? No,they can't.

Jacob Black

Edward Cullen? nah..!
Jacob Black? TOTAL YEAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

I don't understand why people are so crazy about someone who is cold, pale and is supposed to have no areas of emotion when the one who is warm, passionate and sacrificing is right there in front of their eyes!
I know I'm gonna evoke many people's sense of protest here but really! why Edward and not Jacob?
The only reason that i can find justifiable to that question is: different people, different choices.
Nevermind, about me,I'm a total Jacob freak!! I'm seeming to fall in love with the character sooo hard day by day..haha,it seems i'll never get over him merely cause he is a merry character, the halo around whom is as bright and cheerful as sunshine, whose smile seems to conquer ANYBODY's heart and the one who is caring, understanding, loving.strong and the best!
Oh,how I'm tempted to write so much more about the beautiful werewolf, nevertheless I'm gonna stop here :p for I don't want anyone to infer that I'm obsessed with him.

TEAM JACOB all the way!! <3 <3

MUSIC

My first blog, gonna make it very easy for myself to begin writing with the most important part of my life-MUSIC.
Who says one can get high merely by doing drugs? I get high every night listening to Music. It does something to you, it gets your mind drunk when you are totally physically controlled. It washes away the dust of one's everyday life, it bathes us, it bathes our soul and is like a cheer to our hectic schedule!
Leaving the obvious alone, it makes me wanna scream, makes me wanna go crazy like a madman, reminding me of roses and of certain people, it ignites the passion in me..nevertheless it leaves me STILL, quiet, overwhelmed with THE feeling which I can't describe, which no one can describe! You just want to be still and not move, you don't want to change a single effect of the beautiful sound that echos from the walls of your empty room.
In my case, it is like the vicarious delight of watching your heartbeat react to each sound effect, sounds freaky eh? I'm sure, it wont sound psychotic to many Music freaks out there who can totally relate to each of the word written above.
And since its been a long time I wrote something, I hope blogging would help me somehow in improving my writing skills. :p
So, go get the music on!! Drop the bass!
Prost! :D
