The brightness of a Deepawali light

Celebrating with my Family

The Rangoli that I painted

"Shubh Deepawali" is made auspicious when the whole body of our Mother India is beautifully decorated like a newly-wed bride by each and everyone of us. The holy festival serves as an excuse for us Indians to unite and become one in the smile of our religion, traditions and customs that prevail eternally. The energy and ardour that one feels during this day stands nowhere in competition with the enlightening influence it has on the relations shared within a family. The festival does you a great favour, the ancient history behind it is just an excuse, now, for it makes you indulge in cherished revelry that you can't often indulge in, adorn yourself and your house with happy colours, receive and pay visits to your relatives and friends, remember your gods and last of all it makes you LIVE again like you did when you were little. The burning of crackers, the shining diyas and candles, the painting of rangoli, the exchanged gifts, the togetherness don't end with the festival as I can witness it. I can still feel the remnants of the everlasting happiness that I shared with my family yesterday!

Truely, this festival of Deepawali, as is fluorescent from outside, makes us fluorescent from inside. :)
